  • Nominee Best Concept Album, Spiral Road, Independent Music Awards 2015.
  • “Comparisons with Emmylou Harris and Lucinda Williams are certainly justified for Suzanne Jarvie.” Rootstime, Belgium.
  • FIVE STARS (out of 5)! Roots Music Report.
Since its release in November 2014, Toronto songwriter Suzanne Jarvie’s debut record Spiral Road garnered international raves from the US to the Netherlands and was nominated for best Concept Album by the 14th Annual Independent Music Awards. Inspired by and written in the wake of her eldest son’s near fatal accident, the traditional country, folk rock and bluegrass threads of Spiral Road weave through this collection of raw, deeply moving songs. Turning her journey into a “brilliant….beautiful, universal work of art” (Aiding and Abetting), Jarvie sings with a voice that’s “seraphim pure, lifting your spirit often without permission.” (No Depression) Produced by multi-instrumentalist Hugh Christopher Brown, Spiral Road features a stellar cast of musicians. In 2016 Jarvie completed a six song EP, One Take Only and is currently working on her second full length album, slated for release in late spring 2017.
