Best known as a songwriter and musician from the bands MOXY FRUVOUS and GREAT BIG SEA, Murray Foster has over twenty years of experience in the creative arts – bass player, writer, music producer, director, screenwriter, and film scorer.

  • Best known for his role in the bands Great Big Sea and Moxy Fruvous.     
  • Wrote the song “Lay Me Down” which the Fortunate Ones took to the top of the CBC Radio 2 charts.     
  • Writer/Director of The Cocksure Lads Movie which is currently available on iTunes & OnDemand.     
Best known as a songwriter and musician from the bands Great Big Sea and Moxy Fruvous, Murray Foster has over twenty years of experience in the creative arts – bass player, writer, music producer, director, screenwriter, and film scorer. In addition to writing in his own bands, The Cocksure Lads and The Lesters, Murray has collaborated with many up-and-coming performers including co-writing with 2015 East Coast Music Award nominees Rocket Rocket Ship and Newfoundland Fortunate Ones. Their latest release The Bliss features three songs written with Murray including his song “Lay Me Down” which reached #1 on the CBC Radio 2 Top 20 Countdown. He is also the writer and director of the feature film The Cocksure Lads Movie which was featured on Dragons’ Den and released in theatres nationwide in August 2015.
