Denielle

Denielle is an award-winning singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Her original music and arrangements tell stories with whimsy and purpose, and draw inspiration from swing and jazz from 1920’s to 60’s.

Denielle Bassels has been entertaining audiences in venues all over the GTA including Gate 403, The Rivoli, Lula Lounge, Revival with Electro-Swing Club Toronto, Cameron House, Poetry Jazz Cafe and countless others. Denielle Bassels presented a Tribute to Peggy Lee Concert at The Barrie Jazz Festival in summer 2015. Denielle released her EP “Gypsy Summer” in 2013 with her original work winning Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition for Jazz. Denielle Bassels has received the Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition for her song “Cool Cool Water”. She recieved Finalist in the JLSC for originals “Catch’er And She Gone” and “Dreamer”. Denielle is also winner of the New Venture Seed Fund Award for her music production venture with music partner and engineer as Possibly With Dynamite a creative production duo that writes songs for writers of short fiction. Her greatly anticipated first album will be released on Feb. 8 2017.
