Shakin’ All Over, Paperback Writer & All Along the Watchtower drilled into his bones and Brian picked up the guitar in the late 60s, learning by ear. This Winterfolk concert will be the official CD release performance of Brian’s new CD “Junkie for Emotion” – 14 original songs that dig deep into folk, rock, jazz, blues, bluegrass, Celtic, western, latin, psychedelic, & world music traditions. Backed by The Lost Mariachis – a collaborative of some of Toronto’s best session players, Brian will lay a lonesome hippie vibe over lyrics that will make you want to hear every word. Past performances have been described as Lou Reed, Murray McLauchlan & Leonard Cohen riding a Jefferson Airplane beside some Byrds flying south from Memphis to Central Asia. With strong lyrics and straight ahead performances – Brian sings it like he means it because he really does mean it.
