Laura Fernandez was born in Madrid, Spain and immigrated to Canada as a young girl after also having spent a good part of her childhood in Switzerland.

As a result her musical influences encompass a broad range of styles and cultural references. She is an accomplished pianist, singer and songwriter and writes primarily in English and Spanish but also performs in Portuguese and
French.
She had released two collections of mainly original material and is about to release her third CD in early 2020.
Her engaging and moving songs speak intimately of the human condition. Laura is also producer and host of Latin Jazz/ global music program Cafe Latino on Jazz.fm91 Toronto.
