A WINTEROLK MOMENT WITH JULIAN TAYLOR Julian Taylor HE CAME, HE PLAYED, HE WON THE ROOM When I first met Julian Taylor, he was working as a server at ‘Dora Keogh’s’ — now ‘Noonan’s’ — on the Danforth, one of the early Winterfolk venues. He expressed that his goal, among others I'm sure - was to play the Winterfolk Festival.I caught a local performance, and instantly knew he was Winterfolk material — and more. Over a few years, our paths would cross from time to time at venues around town. At one point he said, “Brian, I’ll play for you anywhere, anytime, for one dollar.” A generous offer. Still unredeemed.Julian went on to play Winterfolk many times.
