The Winterfolk Illustrated Guide to Inviting Facebook Friends to Your Event

Here’s some important information to help you invite your Facebook friends to Winterfolk. It was missing from our last email, so please read carefully. 

We’ve set up Facebook event pages for all artists, which you’ll find attached to the Winterfolk FB page.

You have been given ‘admin‘ and ‘co-host” status for your event page, meaning you can invite your FB friends. 

You can invite up to 500 of your FB friends to Winterfolk through your event page. 

Below is how you can accomplish that

Go To Your Personal Facebook Page. We have shown Brian Gladstone’s page for illustration. 

Click on ‘bell’ Icon, which will open all your recent messages, as shown in the diagram. 

Then scroll down until you see a notification from Winterfolk, advising your Status has been upgraded to ‘Admin’

Then press ‘Accept’ to confirm your ‘Admin Status’

We’ve set up Facebook event pages for all artists, which you’ll find linked to the Winterfolk FB page. 

Visit the Winterfolk FB Event Page Now https://www.facebook.com/Winterfolk-Blues-Roots-Festival-115302915190784/

You should see the page shown at right. 

Click on the Event Tab 

If you do not see your listing, then click ‘See More’ at the bottom.

You may have to click ‘ See More’ a few times, until you locate your Event Listing.

When you’ve found your page, click on it to open it.

For purposes of Illustration, we are using Sue Foley’s event page as an example.

When you have located YOUR Event Page, Click to Open it.

When you’ve opened it, you’ll see a box at the top right of the page labelled “Invite,” with an icon of an envelope on it.

Click on the “Invite” box and the names of your Facebook friends will appear.

Click on the circles beside the names of the 500 FB friends you wish to invite. 

When you’ve selected 500, click the “send invites” box at the bottom of the right-hand side of the page.That’s it!
