Winterfolk is an all-ages, urban blues and roots festival held annually in February and is situated in downtown Toronto. This winter festival emulates multi-stage rural summer festivals and has more than 150 artists performing on 5 stages for 3 days. It will also include workshops for guitar playing, song writing, and more.

Every year Winterfolk Blues and Roots Festival engages in special “preview” performances that showcase some of the finest emerging and established talent the city has to offer. Mark your calendar and buy your tickets early as Winterfolk returns once again to Toronto’s Eaton Chelsea Hotel (formerly the Delta Chelsea Hotel), for the upcoming TWELFTH ANNUAL WINTERFOLK BLUES AND ROOTS FESTIVAL which will take place from FEB 14-16, 2014. Over 150 of the finest folk, roots, world and blues artists including Lynn Miles, Ron Hynes and Tony Quarrington will perform at the hotel’s Monarchs Pub, Market Garden Stage and various other stages all within the hotel. This year, besides the ongoing workshops, the festival will also include special tribute events and even a fingerstyle guitar competition. Toronto’s Winterfolk XII festival will present an exhilarating all-ages, mid-winter urban blues and roots event all under one roof. The newer events such as the “Honouring Our Own” and the award presentation proved to be a huge success last year and the fest will continue to present all kinds of fresh opportunities such as the fingerstyle guitar competition and special tribute concerts.
