Winterfolk XIV is back on the Danforth! The Toronto music festival returns to the vibrant cultural strip on the Danforth, and will present more than 150 of the finest folk, roots, world and blues musicians in the world.

About Winterfolk Music Festival

Winterfolk is presented by ‘The Association of Artists for A Better World’, a registered non-profit organization in the Province of Ontario. Winterfolk is an all-ages, urban roots and blues music festival situated in downtown Toronto at Broadview and Danforth, in the winter, that emulates multi-stage rural summer festivals. More than 150 musicians will be performing on 5 concert stages for 3 days. The festival also includes workshops for acoustic guitar playing, song writing, and more.

  • Winterfolk has no full time employees, and is fuelled by an army of volunteers.

  • Winterfolk is a member of ‘Folk Music Ontario‘, formerly called the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals. (OCFF).

  • Winterfolk is supported and sanctioned by the Toronto Region BIA. (Business Improvement Area).

  • Winterfolk programming supports our Toronto music community, and offers stages to new to emerging talent.

  • Funds collected from music submissions, donations, and other fundraising activities are used towards festival expenses, the majority of which is paid to the artists.

  • Winterfolk works within our community with various music organizations to offer them stages at our festival to increase their public visibility and membership, offer exposure for their events, and in general assist them to meet the goals of their mission statement.

  • Winterfolk lists community organizations in our printed program and various forms of promotion.
